Hi,
My name
is Daphne and I am your newsletter editor and webmistress. I have been a
licensed Radio Amateur since 1989, I first got interested in radio
communication whilst working for the MOD. It was my interest in radio
that got me involved in the St John Ambulance Brigade as a radio
communications trainer and then ultimately led to my current career as a
staff nurse.
My
interest in radio has centred mainly on 2 metre SSB as I have had
problems at recent QTHs installing suitable antennas for HF. Hopefully
soon, I can overcome my antenna problems and get on the HF nets.
When I am
not playing with my radio I am busy doing photography, computing,
shopping and eating chocolate.
